Tropica was an existing three-star resort on Malolo Island, Fiji, seeking to transition into a high-end resort with branded residential components, similar to its neighbouring development, Six Senses.

The masterplan was carefully phased to allow the resort to continue operating during redevelopment. The expansion increased the number of guest rooms from 49 to 80 keys, while also providing for approximately 100 luxury residential units.

The proposals included a series of sequential upgrades to all resort facilities.
