Hotel Grand Chancellor
Christchurch
The Hotel Grand Chancellor (Christchurch), proposed for this important northeast corner site in the CBD, comprises a nine-storey building (including ground level) with an additional rooftop plant area, totalling just over 10,600 m² of gross floor area (GFA).
The building form responds to the different functional requirements within the development. A three-storey podium accommodates the commercial and hospitality spaces, parking, and service areas, while a six-storey tower above contains the 180 hotel rooms.
Designed by G2A Studio, the project creates a clear architectural hierarchy between the active podium and the more refined hotel tower, establishing a strong presence within Christchurch’s central city context.
